Whispering Worlds Unveils Cosmic Cliffs: A Fusion of Ambient Soundscapes and Experimental Jazz

Formed in 2022, Whispering Worlds is an electronic-acoustic ensemble that blends ambient landscapes, Raga-based compositions, and interactive experimental jazz. Their music integrates looping, live processing, and sampling with the melodic developments found in Indian Raga and the traditional Japanese shakuhachi flute. ​

Debut Album – Cosmic Cliffs: The quartet's debut album, Cosmic Cliffs, was released on March 28, 2025, via Adhyaropa Records. The album features compositions primarily by Aaron Shragge, with the track "Light Echoes" co-composed by the group and "Serpentine Suspension," an eleven-minute piece concluding the album. The music is characterized by ethereal, other-worldly productions that incorporate elements such as sampling loops, Indian Raga melodies, and the distinctive tones of the shakuhachi flute. ​

Critical Reception: Critics have praised Cosmic Cliffs for its meditative and passionate compositions. Dee Dee McNeil of Making A Scene commented, "The quartet’s music sounds like a film soundtrack.
