Brussels-based collective NITE KITE drops their first full-length album, Erratic Erosion, out today – April 11, 2025 – on vinyl and all streaming platforms.
Blending neoclassical, acoustic, ambient, jazz, and electronic textures, NITE KITE's Erratic Erosion marks a bold new chapter for the formerly solo project of Belgian artist Dieter Boels. After years of producing and recording music alone, Boels invited a group of close collaborators into the creative process, transforming NITE KITE into a full-fledged collective.
The result? A deeply human, genre-defying album recorded live in a natural studio setting—complete with imperfections, spontaneity, and even a 3D-printed toy octopus doubling as an instrument.
“The making of this album has been a many-sided adventure, alternating regular forest walks with eating pasta arrabiata, and when there was time, playing some music,” says Boels. “Listening back, a smile appears on my face. It encompasses our musical friendship and playful interplay.”
