Grammy Award-Winning Vocalist Ledisi Reclaims Her Power With Bold New Album “The CROWN”

R&B powerhouse Ledisi returns with her highly anticipated new album The CROWN, available now on all streaming platforms via her imprint Listen Back Entertainment in partnership with BMG. With fierce vocals, deeply personal lyrics, and genre-blending production, The CROWN is a triumphant celebration of self-worth, resilience, and empowerment.

A deeply rooted storyteller with over two decades in the industry, Ledisi uses this latest work to reclaim her narrative, uplift women—especially Black women—and remind listeners of the royalty that lives within them. The 11-track album flows effortlessly between classic soul, contemporary R&B, jazz, and gospel, anchored by the emotional intelligence and vocal mastery that have made Ledisi a defining voice of her generation.

Featuring:

  • “Sell Me No Dreams” – A soulful mid-tempo groove that explores the emotional exhaustion of empty promises in love.

  • “I Need To Know” – A fan-favorite ballad where vulnerability meets vocal fireworks.

  • “The CROWN” – The title track is an anthem of confidence and self-love, reminding listeners to walk tall in their truth.

Ledisi says of the project:

“This album is about liberation. It’s about honoring our journey—our imperfections and our glory. Every song is a declaration: I deserve joy. I deserve peace. I deserve the crown.”

The CROWN features collaborations with some of the industry’s most celebrated producers and writers, including Camper (Brandy, H.E.R.), Rex Rideout (Lalah Hathaway, Kem), and DJ Camper (Mary J. Blige), giving the album a lush, textured sonic palette.
