Groove jazz guitarist Dee Brown is set to release his highly anticipated album Mister Smooth on March 28, 2025, with the title track dropping as a single on the same day. Known for his smooth electric guitar style, Brown blends R&B and jazz with his signature sound in this new collection of instrumentals, adopting the persona of "Mister Smooth," a character exuding confidence, control, and equanimity.
“Mister Smooth” is Dee Brown's sixth album and showcases his ability to create melody-rich, soulful tracks. Throughout the album, Brown teams up with GRAMMY®-nominated producer Valdez Brantley (known for his work with Usher, Mary J. Blige, and Keith Sweat) to write eight original songs. Together, they craft an album that conveys empowerment, strength, and self-assurance in the face of challenges.
“Mister Smooth is someone who always stays on top of things, exudes confidence, and handles any situation with control,” explains Brown. “I wanted to create music that reflects that mindset, something relatable and aspirational. The name itself resonates with so many people, and I think the music brings that feeling to life.”
