Renowned UK saxophonist, vocalist, and composer Kim Cypher has unveiled plans for her upcoming live album, LIVE and Smiling, set for release on July 11, 2025. This vibrant collection captures the energy of her recent performances, including sellout shows at Peggy’s Skylight in Nottingham and her standout appearance at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. The album features an eclectic mix of jazz, Latin, blues, reggae, swing, and funk, showcasing Cypher's dynamic stage presence and connection with audiences.
Complementing the live album, Cypher will release a new original single, "On My Own Again," on July 26, 2025. This soulful track delves into themes of isolation and introspection, offering a contrast to the exuberant live recordings. The song features Cypher's signature raspy tenor saxophone and includes a notable guitar solo by Clem Clempson.
In addition to these releases, Cypher is set to return to the iconic Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London on Sunday, July 13, 2025, following her previous sellout performances in 2021 and 2024. Tickets for this highly anticipated show are available now.
