Maysa - A Woman In Love
Maysa’s newest release, A Woman In Love, who has amassed an impressive collection of work, both as the lead singer from Incognito and as a solo artist, has totally outdone herself on this CD, from “‘Round Midnight” and “Willow Weep For Me” to her new single, “Am I Wrong (For Lovin’ You?” and her duet with Will Downing on “Love Theiry.” Maysa covers all the bases here, from straight-ahead to R&B to Neo-Soul, all with her signature jazz sensibility.
Kim Waters – Love Stories
Sax man Kim Waters’ new release, Love Stories, is a collection of songs that begs to be enjoyed late at night with a glass of wine, a full moon streaming through the window, and a lushly romantic vibe in the air! Every song on the CD is a winner, including the original vocal featuring Kenny Lattimore (“One More…”), and a fantastic version of the Rose Royce classic, “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore,” with vocals by Dana Pope. Waters launched his solo career with a series of R&B recordings on the Warlock label (beginning with 1989’s Sweet and Saxy), and has sold over a million units of both his original material and thematic projects like his sax tribute to The Platters.
Hulon - First Impressions
First Impressions is the debut release from sax player Hulon, who is being billed as ‘jazz music’s cool new sensation.” The tracks on this CD include a killer version of War’s “Cisco Kid,” the funky “Sax On The Beach” and “Sax Machine”, to the romantic with “Follow Me” and “Cool Blue.”
