The single was recorded at Vancouver’s legendary Warehouse Studio with some of the city’s finest jazz musicians, using entirely live instrumentation to capture the warmth, intimacy, and authenticity that define the genre. The result is a record that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern, celebrating the enduring appeal of timeless songwriting and live performance.
Music has always been at the center of Jade’s story. Raised by her single mother in the coastal community of Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia, she showed extraordinary promise from an early age. At just two years old, an impromptu performance aboard a ferry prompted a fellow passenger to suggest vocal lessons. By seven, hearing Etta James perform “At Last” sparked a dream that would shape the course of her life.
Since launching her recording career in 2016, Jade has explored an impressive range of musical styles, from rock and blues to country-rock and pop, establishing herself as a dynamic songwriter and captivating live performer. Her career has included appearances at Canadian Music Week, Los Angeles’ Hotel Café, Atlanta’s A3C Festival, and Vancouver’s Westward Festival, along with more than 500 live performances throughout Vancouver. She has also sung for crowds of more than 15,000 on five occasions at Vancouver Canucks games at Rogers Arena.
