MICHAEL MCDONALD - SOUL SPEAK
Michael McDonald's is getting a lot of radio airplay these days as he is currently being heard on three different radio airplay charts - with three different tunes from his upcoming CD, Soul Speaks (due out March 11). The Burt Bacharach-Hal Da vid composition "Walk On By" is currently climbing the smooth jazz chart. Meanwhile, his version of the Teddy Pendergrass classic "Love TKO" is gaining on the urban adult airplay chart, and his take on the Jackie Wilson gem "(Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher And Higher" is a contender on the adult contemporary, or AC, chart. Other songs on the CD include Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," Bob Marley's "Redemption Song," Stevie Wonder's "Living For The City" and Van Morrison's "Into The Mystic." McDonald also wrote three songs for the set. Soul Speak is produced by Simon Climie.
