Out March 11 is the Bobby Womack CD called simply, The Best Of Bobby Womack.
Verve Records will release the third CD from Lizz Wright called The Orchard. It’s her first since 2005. Also from Verve is a collection of Billie Holiday classics – The Definitive Collection. Release is set for February 5. Verve is also prepping Definitive Collections from Chick Corea , Return To Forever, and Jimmy Smith (all out on February 5).
Motown will release a 20th Century Masters “Best Of” collection for Brian McKnight (out February 5).
Hidden Beach Records will release Live In Paris + Words, Sights, and Sounds, Volume 1 from Jill Scott (February 5).
Hip-O Records is prepping a DVD title called The Portrait Collection for Louis Armstrong on January 29.
Brian Culbertson’s new album, Bringing Back The Funk, featuring funk classics and original tunes, is being executive produced by Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire fame. It’s set for release on April 8.
