Multiple platinum and Grammy winning superstar Toni Braxton has the #1 R&B record this week - Libra. The Blackground/Universal release also lands in the Top 5 on The Billboard Top 200 Album Chart this week at #4. Libra, which is Braxton's sixth studio album - hit stores on September 27th, features the hit song Trippin. The hot single was the #2 most added song at the Urban Adult Radio format when it debuted at the end of September. Toni's eagerly awaited new album was helmed by star producers such as Scott Storch and Vincent Herbert, with the highly regarded disc faithfully embodying the trademark Braxton soulfulness which has made the spirited vocalist a worldwide phenomenon.
Two classic albums from Gwen McRae are finally available on CD – Let’s Straighten It Out and Melody Of Life, both now available on one CD. Sinéad O’Connor is back with the Roots Reggae inspired Throw Down Your Arms. Though several of her older tracks incorporated her reinterpretation of the reggae sound, Throw Down Your Arms, delves deeper into the genre as she went to Jamaica to work with the legendary production team Sly & Robbie who recruited Jamaica's most esteemed musicians for the project. The record features Sinéad's take on inspirational Roots Reggae songs from the 1970s by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Burning Spear, Lee Perry and others
