Lynda Dawn Returns With Deep Grooves and Divine Vibes on “11th Hour”

North West London’s rising soul visionary Lynda Dawn makes a powerful return with her long-awaited sophomore project, 11th Hour — an immersive 8-track journey via her own First Dawn Records. Known for blurring the lines between funk, jazz, soul, and gospel, Dawn’s latest release confirms what early fans already knew: she’s not just one to watch — she’s one to experience.

Sound Meets Spirit

Anchored by her mesmerizing comeback single “Where You Are” and the luminous title track “11th Hour”, this record explores the emotional terrain of love, longing, and self-awakening. With lush arrangements, cosmic textures, and Dawn’s signature celestial vocals, each track offers a meditative groove rooted in deep feeling.

11th Hour is a reminder that it’s never too late — to love, to grow, or to start again,” Dawn says. The project invites listeners into a space where sound becomes sanctuary and rhythm becomes revelation.

From Church Roots to Global Reach

Raised in a Pentecostal household, Dawn’s earliest music education came through church — where gospel, soul, and funk left an indelible imprint. That energy fuels every beat of her sound, from her breakout single “Move” (featured on Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Bubblers 13) to her debut EP “At First Light”, created with beat-scene architect Al Dobson Jr. and released on Akashik Records.

Since then, her work has drawn acclaim from Clash, The Guardian, NME, and ELLE UK, while racking up over 10 million streams across digital platforms. With 11th Hour, Dawn further cements her place in the UK’s new wave of boundary-pushing soul artists.
