Wilson, lead singer of the pioneering 70s trio The Gap Band (You Dropped a Bomb on Me, Burn Rubber, Why You Wanna Hurt Me, and Yearning for Your Love), debuted a solo album, Charlie, Last Name Wilson, in 2005. It featured collaborations with artists Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg, and Black Eyed Peas writer/producer Will.i.am.
