SOIL & PIMP SESSIONS - CIRCLES
Beautiful
grooves from Soil & Pimp Sessions – a sweet jazzy combo who are already
plenty great on their own, but who get some help here from Jose James, DJ
Kentaro, Rhymester, and a few other guests! Different singers grace each new
number – helping to give even more shape to that great Soil & Pimp sound –
a tight groove of acoustic bass, drums, piano, and horns – the epitome of all
that's great about the Japanese club jazz scene in recent years! And yes, there
name is terrible, but their sound is sublime – a really universal groove that's
helped transform the role of jazz in the clubs in recent years. Titles include
"Light Blue Soldier", "Bon Bon Villa", "Summer
Love", "Frog In The Wrold", "Ananta", and "Iceburn". ~ Dusty Groove
