Rob Garza's solo project, Dust Galaxy will kick off their debut tour this weekend starting in Philadelphia at the North Star Bar. Expect to hear sounds of psychedelic India , British paisley beats, post-punk, and American roots rock when the self-titled album drops in March. The touring band will feature such luminaries as James Canty (The Make-Up, Ted Leo/Pharmacists) on guitar and effects, Jerry Busher (Fugazi, French Toast) on drums, Ashish Vyas (GoGoGo Airheart,) on bass, along with Rob on guitar and vocals. While recording in London with producer Brendan Lynch (Primal Scream, Paul Weller), Lynch and Garza enlisted guest musicians including Shawn Lee, Martin Duffy & Darrin Mooney (Primal Scream), Adam Blake (Cornershop), and Jim Townsend (the Peoples Revolutionary Choir). These new songs were born out of little musical and lyrical sketches. Look for several singles this fall starting with Come Here the Trumpets featuring remixes by Shawn Lee, Fort Knox Five, and Beyond The Wizards Sleeve.
