MARDIE MILLIT & MICHAEL GARIN - HEY, LOOK! IT'S MICHAEL & MARDIE!

Chock full of ballads, peppy stuff, and their signature goofball original material, "Hey, Look! It's Michael & Mardie!", the debut CD of Manhattan cabaret duo Michael Garin and Mardie Millit, is sure you get your toes tapping. Featuring guest turns by Billy Stritch, Steve Doyle and Maitreya Padukone, this eclectic mix of songs old and new will have you chortling, humming along and even wiping away a tear or two. They met each other in the nick of time at Jim Caruso's Cast Party, where they were both regular entertainers, in 2005 and began performing together soon after -- most notably on Sunday nights at Elaine's from 2008 until its closing in 2011. They have appeared together at 54 Below, Birdland, the Village Underground, the Metropolitan Room, Iridium, the Rum House, and Bill's Food and Drink, to name but a few. They married each other in 2012 and live in Central Harlem. Includes: Jump, Jive & Wail; It's Diwali! (feat. Maitreya Padunkone); Little Girl Blue (feat. Billy Stritch); Surf Carmen; Some Enchanted Evening; My Cherie Amour; On the Sunny Side of the Street; Sorry-Grateful; It Doesn't Happen Twice; Douchebag At the Bar (feat. Billy Stritch); I'll Take Romance (feat. Steve Doyle); Route 66; Historia de un Amor/Volver; and Grandma Midnight.
