SANTANA SUPERNATURAL: A TRIP THROUGH THE HITS

Carlos Santana and his legendary band continue the successful run of Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through The Hits at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino with the addition of seven new concert dates in January 2011. In addition to the newly added dates, Santana fans can enjoy the show's ever-changing set list as it continues its current run at The Joint through Sunday, September 5. A multi-sensory journey through the band's career-spanning classics such as "Oye Como Va," "Black Magic Woman," "Evil Ways" and "Maria Maria," Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through The Hits marks the first and only rock-n-roll resident show in Las Vegas. The show was exclusively designed for The Joint, which was named "Best New Major Concert Venue" by Pollstar Magazine, and is produced by AEG Live. New dates for 2011 announced thus far are: January 5, 8, 9, 12, 14, 15 and 16, with more 2011 dates to be announced soon.

In the meantime, Santana's brand new album, Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics Of All Time (in stores as of September 21st on Arista Records) features a Who's Who of guest vocalists to perform on every track. Songs from the new album will be rotated into the show's set list. Singers on Guitar Heaven range from Chris Cornell (on Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love"), Pat Monahan (on Van Halen's "Dance the Night Away"), india.arie and Yo Yo Ma (on The Beatles' While My Guitar Gently Weeps), Chester Bennington and Ray Manzarek (on The Doors' "Riders on the Storm"), Rob Thomas (on Cream's "Sunshine Of Your Love), Scott Weiland (on the Rolling Stones' "Can't You Hear Me Knockin'"), Chris Daughtry (on Def Leppard's "Photograph"), Gavin Rossdale (on T. Rex's "Bang A Gong") to rapper Nas (on AC/DC's "Back In Black"), veteran Joe Cocker (on Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing"), and more.

Forty years and as many albums later, Santana has sold more than 90 million records and has performed to more than 100 million fans at concerts worldwide. To date, Santana has won ten GRAMMY® Awards, including a record-tying nine for a single project, 1999's Supernatural (including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for "Smooth"). In 1998, the group was ushered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, whose web page on their induction notes, "Guitarist Carlos Santana is one of rock's true virtuosos and guiding lights." Among many other honors, Carlos Santana has also been cited by Rolling Stone as #15 on their list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time," and #90 on their 2005 survey of the "100 Greatest Artists Of All Time."
