MARK ISHAM & KATE CEBERANO - BITTERSWEET

Academy Award nominated jazz trumpet player and film composer Mark Isham has collaborated with ARIA Award winning Australian vocalist Kate Ceberano to create the new jazz album Bittersweet, a compilation of favorite jazz standards released in the U.S. on May 19, 2009. The album is already the #3 in Australia, where it was released on April 10, 2009 on the Universal Australia label. Bittersweet was recorded and mixed by Bernie Kirsch at Mad Hatter Studios in Hollywood, California, with assistance by Buck Snow and Melissa Kirkland, and mastered by Bernie Grundman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood. Mark Isham produced the music, with Donna Isham serving as executive producer. Ceberano's management is Ralph Carr for RCM, with Ben Balfour as production manager. The album photography is by Michael Doven and CD artwork designed by Pierre Baroni.

Mark Isham's musical accomplishments have earned him Grammy, Emmy, Clio, and Academy Award nominations. In addition to his critically acclaimed jazz albums, Isham is known for his groundbreaking electronic music. He is also one of the most celebrated Hollywood film composers today, with credits on over 50 movies, including Crash, Bobby and The Black Dahlia, as well as several television scores.

Kate Ceberano is a multi-platinum and gold selling recording artist. Her soulful vocal style has earned her numerous nominations at the People's Choice Awards, ARIA Awards and the Mo Awards in Australia. The jazz band on Bittersweet, comprised of legendary jazz performers, includes Peter Erskine on drums, Alan Pasqua on piano and Tom Warrington on bass.
