INDIA.ARIE: TESTIMONY: VOL. 2, LOVE & POLITICS

India.Arie has once again delivered a new album to the top tier of the music charts its opening week of release, with Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics (Soulbird Music/Universal Republic) vaulting to # 1 on the Billboard Top R&B Chart and locking down the #3 spot on the Billboard Top 200 Chart.The acclaimed singer/songwriter’s two new singles, "Chocolate High," featuring Musiq Soulchild, was #1 most added at Urban AC radio this week, while "Therapy" featuring Gramps Morgan, has become the #1 most downloaded song off the album. Testimony: Vol 2, which is the follow-up to her Grammy nominated 2006 album, Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship, has been receiving worldwide critical acclaim over the past week.

India.Arie also created a buzz with a host of TV appearances this week, kicking it off with a live performance on ABC’s Good Morning America on Tuesday, February 17. And in a special production with VH1, she appears as the featured artist on the fourth installment of VH1’s SoulStage, presented by Infiniti franchise and showcasing her performing songs from the new album such as "Therapy" and "Pearls," among other past hits. SoulStage: India.Arie Presented by Infinity debuted on Tuesday, February 17 on VH1 Soul at 9:30 pm EST, with encore broadcasts on the music network on February 22nd at 1:30 pm EST, 9:30 pm EST, and 1:30 AM EST on February 23rd. The show is also being made available on VH1soul.com which will include additional performances not seen on the original broadcast.

India.Arie emerged onto the music scene in 2001 with her double-platinum debut album Acoustic Soul and subsequently has won a host of awards including 2 Grammys, 4 NAACP Awards, as well as being recognized by BET, Billboard Magazine, MTV, VH1 and Essence Magazine, among others.
