AL GREEN - LAY IT DOWN

Soul legend Al Green has returned with his highly anticipated new album (his third since his return to secular music), Lay It Down, featuring Brooklyn’s The Dap-Kings Horns (Sharon Jones, Amy Winehouse), Corinne Nailey Rae, Anthony Jamilton, John Legend, guitarist Chalmers "Spanky" Alford (Mighty Clouds of Joy, Joss Stone) and bassist Adam Blackstone (Jill Scott, DJ Jazzy Jeff) among others. Lay It Down is co-produced with Green by two of hip hop's most innovative players, Ahmir "?uestlove" Thompson, drummer from The Roots, and keyboardist James Poyser, famous for working with artists ranging from Erykah Badu to Common. You can catch Al Green on The Late Show with David Letterman on June 5th as he features tracks from Lay It Down. In addition, he’s on the road in support of the album and his concert dates are listed below.
