RACHEL BROWN – LOVE, LIFE & RELATIONSHIPS
On her highly acclaimed 14-song independent disc, "Love, Life & Relationships," (just released by Urban Music Group), the singer/songwriter introduces a new and exciting R&B sound. With powerful vocals and insightful lyrics, Rachel delicately blends the smoothness of Anita Baker, the sensitivity and consciousness of Oprah, and the soul of Aretha Franklin, as she explores the deepest emotions within our heart and soul.
"I really would like to inspire my listeners," says Rachel, who prefers to refer to her debut disc as "medication for the mind." Rachel's vocal timbres grab you and lead you on a personal journey of rediscovery on songs such as the empowering "Rise Again," or "Learn To Love Me." Other songs such as "Where Did We Go Wrong?" challenge us to examine the lyrics of today's music, while "Make It Official" examines the complex issue of relationships without commitment. "I really wanted to record a CD filled with messages that will uplift, encourage and empower," Rachel concludes.
Signed to Urban Music Group in 2006, Rachel's early notoriety came about because of the success of her debut single "Let's Fall In Love Again," which reached #1 on the Billboard R&B Single Sales Chart in the spring of 2007. The single soon gained the attention of television shows such as WSVN's "Deco Drive," as well as landing feature stories in the Miami Herald and Ft. Lauderdale Sun Sentinel. The single has generated airplay on over 30 radio stations in the U.S., which landed it on the Mediabase Top 100 R&B songs chart.
Rachel's debut CD delivers a powerful melodic and lyrical punch that has apparently struck a chord with the Adult Contemporary crowd. The disc also features the beautifully done wedding song "Promise Of Love," which introduces the amazing vocals of Reno Walker, the standout track "Spend The Night," the sultry "Do What You Do," the perky "Weekend," and the sassy "Just A Girl." Rachel also breathes new life into the '70s classic "Don't Ask My Neighbor," as the riveting "My Child" rounds out "Love, Life & Relationships."
Pam "Diamond Princess" Wynn of Live 365 Radio says of Rachel's debut CD, "If you love R&B you have to add this CD to your collection. The songs are great and Rachel has one of the most powerful female voices out now, right up there with the R&B legends!"
Rachel Brown is currently planning to embark on 15-city promotional tour that includes stops in Chicago, Orlando, Tampa, Houston and Dallas.
