Radio station WJZI-FM (93.3) is preparing to change its call letters following its switch in June from smooth jazz programming to mainstream adult contemporary music. The new call letters are WLDB. The stationon has used the WJZI call letters since 1996, when it adopted the smooth jazz format. The radio station has said that mainstream adult contemporary has been absent from Milwaukee airwaves since WLTQ-FM dropped the format in 2003. Featured artists on the new format are Elton John, Phil Collins, Sheryl Crow, Billy Joel, Kelly Clarkson and Rod Stewart.
