THE SPINNERS AT VAPOR
Legendary R&B group, The Spinners will perform at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway on Sunday, August 19th. Tickets are on sale now for the 8:00pm show at the new night club, Vapor. The Spinners have always made timeless music, although they were most popular as "hit-makers" in the 1970s. Original members Bobbie Smith, Henry Fambrough and Pervis Jackson are now joined onstage by Charlton Washington, high tenor Spike Bonhart and a soul-infused five piece band. The Spinners boast twelve gold records, six Grammy nominations (performing twice at the awards ceremony), a Black Gold Award from Dick Clark and a star on the Hollywood "Walk of Fame." They are also proud to give back to the community through charitable work, making appearances on behalf of autistic children, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the NAACP and many others. Scoring with approximately twenty hit singles, some of their best known tunes include I'll Be Around, Could It Be I'm Falling In Love, and Working My Way Back to You. Today, the Spinners still maintain a full world-wide touring schedule, performing sold out concerts for fans of all ages.
