MAYSA LEAK HITS THE SMOOTH JAZZ CHARTS WITH ‘FEEL THE FIRE’

Smooth jazz vocalist Maysa Leak landed back on the charts this week with her new Shanachie CD Feel The Fire. The new set offers up more R&B favorites re-interpreted by the former Incognito singer, following her 2006 release Sweet Classic Soul. On the new set Maysa covers the Peabo Bryson title tune, as well as Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine," Norman Connors' "You Are My Starship," Stevie Wonder's "I Can't Help It," Evelyn "Champagne" King's "I'm In Love," and the Commodores' "Zoom," among others. Feel The Fire debuted this week at Number 30 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Maysa will perform Saturday, June 9th, at B.B. King's Blues Club in New York City.
