NEW RELEASES……….Dave Holland follows-up is critically Grammy-award winning album Overtime with Critical Mass, his first new studio album in five years. Critical Mass includes eight original compositions performed by Holland and his acclaimed quintet featuring Chris Potter, Steve Nelson, Robin Eubanks, and Nate Smith……….If you like Jobim and Bonfa, but with a modern twist, then you will surely enjoy the new album from Mark Weinstein called O Nosso Amor on Jazzhead Records. The lead single Boderline completely twists the Madonna classic into a chilled-out gem which explains why its been embraced by lounge DJs here and abroad. Other hot tracks include Watley’s hot version of Love Hangover (produced by Chris Brann, Rodney Lee and Watley). Watley and producer Ron Trent rev up Bob Marley’s Waiting In Vain for the clubs, while DJ and producer King Britt reinvents Watley’s own Don’t You Want My Love………..Swedish saxophonist Greger Hillman has just released his new album, I Am Ready. Hillman has recorded with producers like Jason Scheff (Chicago), Peter Wolf (Frank Zappa), John Beasley (Miles Davis), Jeff Richman and Jimmy Haslip (Yellowjackets). His new release I Am Ready is out now via the Hillman Records label (www.hillmanrecords.com). The album, I Am Ready, contains ten original songs written and produced by Hillman. The title cut, I Am Ready, is a straightforward smooth jazz tune, which sets the mood for the rest of the record. Home At Last reflects on Hillman’s musical career as he goes full circle coming back to the style of music which got him started playing the sax some twenty years ago. "Having studied jazz, improvisation and composition and playing mostly jazz- and soul gigs for many years now, I wanted to go back to my roots," says Hillman.
