CHUCK LOEB BUSY IN THE STUDIO AND TOUR UPDATE

Guitartist Chuck Loeb has been quite busy lately with back-to-back concert performances and recording sessions. He’s just finished appearing at the Capital Jazz Festival (June 4), where he appeared with Chieli Minucci and Paul Jackson, Jr. It was their first project as a trio and we hope to hear more of that in the coming months. Looking further ahead at his schedule is a four-day ruin at The Iridium in New York City, June 15 through 18 with a special band comprising of Eric Marienthal (sax), Anthony Jackson (bass), Jim Beard (piano), and Josh Dion (drums). This concert will also feature music from each of these unique artists. From June 30th through July 8th, Loeb will be appearing at the 15th annual Canary Islands Jazz Festival. He and his special Iridium concert band (including German trumpeter Till Bronner), will be playing a series of shows on the various islands. The two final shows will be the gala 15th anniversary shows and will feature invited guests including the great guitarist Hiram Bullock, Paul McCandless, and Brazilian singer, songwriter and guitarist Rosa Passos. Loeb then heads off to the Wilson Creek Winery in Temecula, California for a July 15th concert.

Studio-wise, Chuck Loeb had a guest soloist spot on Will Downing’s latest CD, Soul Symphony; he wrote one song and played on saxaphonist Andy Snitzer’s new CD, Some Quiet Place (Native Language, 2006); guested on Nelson Rangell’s new CD, Soul To Souls; played on Marion Meadows new CD, Dressed To Chill; and on Everette Harp’s latest CD, In The Moment, for which he wrote two new songs as well as a guest soloist. He is also close to completing a new CD and hopes to have it out in the next 6 months Talk about bust – wow!.
