WJJZ & KUUS SMOOTH JAZZ RADIO NEWS, GUITARS & SAXES, RENDEZVOUS ALL STARS & MORE...

WJJZ SMOOTH JAZZ SUMMER NIGHTS
Philadelphia’s WJJZ continues to bring smooth jazz to the Philadelphia Waterfront, as WJJZ Smooth Jazz Summer Nights returns for a ninth season at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing on Columbus Boulevard at Chesnut Street. The sounds of local and national Smooth Jazz artists will fill the air every Friday night in August through September 1. The series will kick off on Friday, August 4 with the smooth sounds of Gerald Veasley. Other artists scheduled to appear include Ken Navarro and Steve Cole (both August 18), Michael Lington (August 26), and the Sax Pack, featuring Jeff Kashiwa, Kim Waters, and Steve Cole (September 1). The Smooth Jazz Summer Nights concerts is sponsored by WJJZ.


GUITARS AND SAXES & THER RENDEZVOUS ALL STARS TO PERFORM AT RICK SANBORN’S SMOOTH SUMMER PARTY CONCERTS
Guitars and Saxes
featuring Gerald Albright, Richard Elliot, Jeff Golub and Peter White perform as part of Rick Sanborn’s Smooth Summer Party on July 14 at The Pageant in University City, Missouri. Rick Sanborn’s Smooth Summer Party is also presenting the Rendezvous All Stars on July 21 at the same location. The Rendezvous All Stars feature Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler, Wayman Tisdale and Brian Simpson.


KUUS (US 105.5) SMOOTH JAZZ RADIO
Smooth jazz radio returns to Fresno, California as Wilks Broadcasting’s country KUUS (US 105.5) switches to smooth jazz. US 105.5 now fills the void created when Clear Channel abandoned the format there earlier this year.
