DR. JOHN RELEASES ‘MERCERNARY’ AND SETS 2006 SUMMER TOUR SCHEDULE

Dr. John released his brand new full-length studio album Mercernary on Tuesday, May 23 on Blue Note Records. Following on from the release of the mini-album Sippiana Hericane (released in November to raise money for the victims of the New Orleans disaster) Mercernary is a tribute to the legendary American songwriter Johnny Mercer (1909 – 1976). The full track listing for Mercenary is as follows: 1. Blues In The Night; 2. You Must Have Been A Beautiful Baby; 3. Personality; 4. Hit the Road To Dreamland 5. I’m An Old Cow Hand; 6. Dream; 7. Lazy Bones; 8. That Old Black Magic; 9. Come Rain Or Come Shine; 10. Moon River; 11. Tangerine; 12. I Ain’t No Johnny Mercer; and 13. Save The Bones For Henry Jones.
