TWO SMOOTH JAZZ RADIO STATIONS SWITCH FORMATS

Clear Channel smooth jazz KEZL Fresno, Calif., signs off after 17 years in the format. A message on the station's Web site directs listeners to Adult Contemporary sister station KSOF, a local college station and to the stream for Clear Channel smooth jazz KIJZ Portland, Ore.

Twin Cities smooth jazz station at 100.3 FM has recently switched to all-talk with Rush Limbaugh and locals. It's out with the jazz and in with the news for FM station 100.3 as the station will be called KTLK and feature a news-talk format. Along with Limbaugh, KTLK's weekday schedule includes morning show hosts Andrew Colton, a one-time ABC News national correspondent, and Kelly Guest, former KFAN voice. Midmorning, it's Pat Kessler, WCCO-TV political reporter; late afternoon includes co-hosts Sarah Janacek, Republican political analyst, and Brian Lambert, former Pioneer Press media critic. In the evening, you can hear former KSTP personality Dan Conry. KTLK also will air Fox News at the top of every hour. A weekend roster has not been announced. KTLK joins other Twin Cities news-talk stations, including the area's top dog WCCO (830 AM); KSTP (1500 AM), the former home of Limbaugh.
