The World Café Live in Philadelphia, PA will host the CD release for bassist Gerald Veasley’s latest release – At The Jazz Base!, on Sunday, August 21 at 7:30 pm EST. Veasley has worked alongside the likes of Teddy Pendergrass, Eric Marienthal, Joe McBride, Dianne Reeves, Grover Washington, Jr., McCoy Tyner, Special EFX, Omar Hakim, Onaje Alan Gumbs, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Pamela Williams, Philip Bailey, Kenny Blake, The Dixie Hummingbirds, Odean Pope, Phil Perry, Chieli Minucci, George Howard and Joe Zawini of Weather Report. Veasley was recently named "Best Electric Bassist" in Jazziz magazine’s annual readers’ poll and has many other accolades to his credit. His latest CD is out on the Heads Up label.
