MATT SAVAGE SIGNS WITH SONY/ATV MUSIC

Sony/ATV Music Publishing have announced that jazz composer/pianist Matt Savage have signed an international sub-publishing agreement, covering all countries except the United States and Canada. The agreement with the acclaimed jazz prodigy includes Matt Savage's back catalogue and future works, beginning with all original compositions featured on the last six albums recorded by the Matt Savage Trio.

The Matt Savage Trio most recently appeared on the CBS show "Late Show with David Letterman," performing "El Fuego" from "HOT TICKET: Live in Boston." Following the Matt Savage Trio's broadcast, "HOT TICKET: Live in Boston" reached #2 in live jazz album sales on Amazon.com. In December, Matt Savage and his music were featured on "Piano Jazz," the acclaimed National Public Radio (NPR) syndicated series hosted by Marian McPartland.

The Matt Savage Trio released their sixth album in January, titled "HOT TICKET: Live in Boston," and it has hit #11 on the "Jazzweek" charts. “HOT TICKET: Live in Boston” was distributed by Palmetto Records (MRI/RED) and "HOT TICKET: Live in Boston" includes eight new Savage-penned songs and three original tracks revisited. The album was recorded during two concerts at Tufts University's Distler Performance Hall at the Granoff Music Center. In addition to Matt Savage on keyboards, the Matt Savage Trio is comprised of Dave Robaire on bass and Joe Saylor on drums. "HOT TICKET: Live in Boston" was produced by Grammy-nominated Jonathan Wyner and engineered by nine-time Grammy-winner, Tom Bates.
